We will be in the LA area (coming from Boston) for one full day and are looking to have some memorable meals. We're staying in Pasadena so thought it would be a good opportunity to eat in the SGV.
Lunch: We're thinking we'll try dim sum at Sea Harbour. Any stand-out items that we shouldn't miss?
Dinner: Thinking Chengdu Taste or perhaps someplace Taiwanese instead: is there a fabulous beef noodle soup with handmade noodles (either knife-cut or hand-pulled) that would be worth trying? If we do go to Chengdu Taste, does it matter which location?
Other: Maybe pick up some crab shell pastries at Dean Sin World? Other small bites worth picking up?
We have to be at LAX the morning after, so we're also looking for a place to get a simple breakfast and perhaps pick up something for the flight. We were thinking Euro Pane; will their sandwiches hold up? (The famous egg salad seems like it wouldn't, but maybe some of the others?) Or is there somewhere else between Pasadena and LAX that might have prepared foods that are better than what we can get at LAX?
Thanks for any suggestions!
