1 day in Midwood what's not to be missed?

Starting threads for neighborhoods in Brooklyn, will do the same for Queens, think that this will be helpful, for those seeking 1 day excursions, and don't have the time or inclination to search throught multitudes of posts, many with outdated info, and often wrong addresses. Please add your favorites below, and please use the link to place option when possible.

Thank you!

My visit there today took me to Olympic Pita and Famous Pita to compare their offerings. This is a good place for those seeking meat and vegetarian options. Olympic Pita had better homier atmosphere, and cleaner, and more welcoming feeling. Place is small, though. Salads looked extremely fresh. Prices were very good.

Famous Pita had uncomfortable chairs, not a place you'd linger too long, and salads that looked rather limp. Their hot prepared foods looked downright unappetizing that were in hot station. There were some posts that indicated it was dirty looking but it looked alright to me, just the food looked kind of dead sitting there, and that place had a kind of dismal vibe to it. Anyway, I'd stick with Olympic Pita.

Didn't make it to Di Fara, but wish I had. Wondered how this place exists in the midst of all the Orthodox.

Was interested in 2 bakeries, Chiffon, and Ostrovitsky. Who's tested their black and whites, and babka's and hamentashen etc...and can testify to the truth? And where are the other hidden Kosher Bakery gems?

Didn't make it to Sahara, wonder what the current opinion of it is?

Was very interested in this new Whole Foods type supermarket called Pomegranate that had recently opened. Seemed like a real boost for the area.

Would like to know more Middle Eastern full service nice atmosphere sit down places, the best Kosher Bakeries, and what's the best Turkish places in the Coney Island vicinity?
