New definition of 'Two-for-One' Sushi .....Chinese New Year + Valentines Day from YASU
- Chirashi $98....with Snow Crab, Uni, Ikura, chopped Toro and Aburi Hokkaido Scallops topping.
- Toro Handroll Maki $58 ( Akami, Chu-Toro & O-Toro )
Toro used for the Maki roll was generous, fresh and oily. Overall a very enjoyable creation.
Chirashi's best topping components were the generous soy-marinated Ikura ( big size with nice 'pop' and not too salty ) and the sweet tasting snow crab meat. Uni, though lacked the visual appeal, was surprisingly sweet and fresh, sans alkaline aftertaste. Scallops were so-so. slightly overcooked by the flame? Chirashi at $98 was a touch over-priced IMO....but then this is Covid era!....so am willing to pay a few $$ more to keep small business alive!
