Each April, my wife and I like to celebrate our anniversary at a great restaurant and then stay at a B&B nearby. Two years ago, we ate at Evermay on the Delaware and then stayed at the Lambertville House. Last year, we stayed at a B&B in Cape May and ate at Daniel's on Broadway. I'd like to do something similar this year as well.
I would like to eat and stay somewhere within 2 hours of Philadelphia. The restauant can be in the B&B or nearby. I would like to spend less than $400 total. I would love to go to the Ryland Inn, but that's a bit out of my budget. But, $200 and $200 is okay.
I thought about going back to the New Hope area, but I've read some things recently about La Bonne Auberge and The Inn at Phillips Mill not being worth it and I don't know where else to go.
I remember seeing some places featured on The Best of . . . on the Food Network west of Philly (maybe by Lancaster), but I don't remember what or where they were.
Any help is appreciated. I want to keep my string of 2 years in a row going.
