I've lived in NYC all my life and and only in the last few years have become better at cooking. One of my favorite restaurants in manhattan was a little italian cafe in the west village called Sapore, it was on Greenwich St. and Perry. My favorite dish was their potato crusted salmon with a mustard sauce on a bed of spinach, and I'm trying to duplicate it at home. Sapore closed a long time ago, and I have yet found an equivalent.
Most of the pictures of others recipes for this I found online don't look right. The Sapore recipe looked like the potato was wrapped( scalloped?) and baked, not like the hash brown way I keep coming across. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.
