need some help w/chowday for 5th anniversary

foodnut | Jun 25, 200203:11 PM

On July 3rd, I'm going to spend a chowday celebrating my 5th anniversary w/my boyfriend (fiance of three weeks :)) -- an idea shamelessly stolen from Patrick's birthday celebration several months ago.

Here's my plan of action:

Get up and walk to La Farine for morning buns, to be consumed w/Royal Coffee latte on College.

Walk back home and then catch BART to downtown Oakland for dimsum breakfast. (I've been a few places here that are good, but would welcome suggestions.)

Take BART into San Francisco for some poking around in shops (checking out for possibly registry items). Late lunch will be sandwich at Saigon Sandwiches on Larkin.

On to Lorca for some tapas and drinks (w/casual invites going out to friends) around 5:30 or so.

Then, I need some help w/late night suggestions. Patrick and Holly hit Pyung Yang Tofu House, but I feel like maybe 3 Asian cuisines in one day is too much? Anyone know of a place for good oven fired pizza that's open late?

That way, we'd have French, Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish and Italian -- a nice globetrotting little day. I'm open to other suggestions for the late night repast though.
