Delmonico's Bar & Grill
Delmonico’s says it was “America’s first-fine dining restaurant.” The first one opened on South Williams Street in 1837. The current Delmonico’s is on 56 Beaver Street. The restaurant claims to serve the only authentic Delmonico steak and also claims to be responsible for dishes such as Eggs Benedict, baked Alaska, Lobster Newburg and Chicken a la Keene, better known to most Americans as Chicken a la King.
