A treasured and keen observer of key dining details like restroom quality and credit card swipe-ability, hhc recently delivered an A-plus rating in a report on Prime Dip Sandwiches in the Tenderloin, which now inhabits what had been a What’s Up Dog! franchise.
“Good eats!” hhc says of Prime Dip, praising the six ounces of “very tender prime rib meat” in her sandwich. The side of creamed spinach that came with her meal was not overloaded with dairy “so you actually get to taste the spinach.”
Befitting the neighborhood, the menu is full of bargains: $6.99 for generous pork, pastrami, turkey, and corned beef dips. A lobster sandwich comes in at $12.99. Sides like mixed veggies or mac and cheese are $2.50 each.
