Even in a place with as many restaurants as New York City, it’s not every day you can taste Singaporean food with a direct connection to the Malay Peninsula. That’s precisely what some New Yorkers will get this weekend when Singapore Takeout—a traveling food fest organized by Singapore Eats—sets up its mobile kitchen in Gansevoort Plaza, featuring Chef Malcolm Lee of Singapore’s Candlenut Kitchen and local talents (Ed Cotton of Plein Sud, Anthony Ricco of Spice Market, and more).

Sadly, the weekend’s seminars are all booked up, but CHOW has a last-minute hookup for free tickets. Just log in at CHOW.com and leave a comment on this post describing either your favorite dish from Singapore or the one you’re most eager to try—hawker fare, fancy restaurant food, whatever. The first 17 commenters score a place on the list. Ready? Go!
