Ruth Lafler couldn’t resist the new Maple Bacon Toffee from Recchiuti Confections. It consists of “a thin-ish layer of crisp, burnt-sugar toffee blended with chewy, smoky bacon bits, coated both sides with 64 percent cocoa solids dark chocolate and topped with chopped pecans and a whisper of salt,” she says. “So good. So, so good. Worth every penny of the $15 I plunked down for 4 ounces.”

You can order it from the Recchiuti website or pick some up from the store if you happen to be in San Francisco. It’s a seasonal special, though, so hurry if you want some.
