For those who love Indian food, life just keeps getting better uptown. First East Siders welcomed the promising newcomer Om. Now comes word that West Siders will soon have their own branch of Curry Hill favorite Saravanaas.
Saravanaa Bhavan, as the uptown location will be known, will be the second New York outpost of a chain based in Chennai. Whenever it opens—the windows are still papered over—it can’t come soon enough for LNG212. “I’ve been disappointed with many of the Indian restaurants in the neighborhood,” she says. “So it would be terrific if this turns out to be a good one.”
