Chowhounds adore the pancakes at Dinah’s, where many different kinds of cakes are served. Baron likes the thin Swedish pancakes, served with lingonberry butter, while westsidegal loves the baked apple pancakes. But greatest of all, westsidegal says, is the baked German pancake: eggy, like a huge popover, and served with powdered sugar and lemon wedges “so you concoct your own icing-like sugar/lemon slurry.”
Another good choice for pancakes in the area: Nichols, which offers more typically American pancakes. They’re on the thick side, and available in blueberry, banana, buttermilk, and multigrain.
