There’s a local farmers’ market vendor named Cyndi who’s delivering dazzlingly fresh fish, in particular tuna: “She gets stuff straight from the docks and it’s amazingly good,” says BobB. “But if you’re not in line at her stand the moment the market opens you may find she’s run out of tuna by the time you get there.”

Cyndi sells her wares at the Brookline Farmers’ Market, Thursdays starting at 1:30 p.m. She runs out of fish by about 3 p.m., according to BarmyFotheringayPhipps. The best thing to do, says Allstonian, is get on her email list: “She sends out a weekly email listing what she will have and the prices, and you can pre-order and pick up at the Brookline market without having to get there early. Ask at her stand and she’ll take your email address.”

That stellar tuna sells for about $15 a pound.
