BBC News has a video of some amazing lard sculptures made by Gurkha chefs. The Gurkhas, explains a previous story, are Nepalese soldiers that are part of the British army.

“The men at the Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment in Aldershot won silver at the Combined Services Catering Competition for their figures,” which included a very serene looking Buddha and a horse, writes the BBC. They took about 100 hours to create.

The sculptures are “a feast for the eyes rather than the stomach,” said head chef, Warrant Officer Jason Rawbone. They have to be refrigerated, or they will melt.
