“I have tried pupusas at various Salvadoran places around San Francisco but my new top favorite are the pupusas at The New Spot,” says Lori SF.
The pupusas are pillowy and not at all greasy—pork and cheese is particularly good. They serve tacos too, and the asada is flavorful, better than many of the tacos in the Mission.
There’s a variety of Salvadoran and Mexican dishes, including some off-the-beaten-track ones, as a mini-review in the Chronicle last year noted.
