The vast majority of Concord grapes are “quite seedy,” says Eldon Kreider, but Pat Hammond was lucky enough to find seedless Concord grapes at a local farmers’ market. “They freeze like a dream and are a wonderful snack, straight from the freezer,” says Pat Hammond. “My fruit-phobic grandson likes them too. I love them tossed into a bowl of hot oatmeal.” One problem: Seedless Concord grapes never seem to be actually labeled as seedless. Investigative spirit, fearless determination, and luck are required to locate them.
