Spoon’s online storefront sells some of the catering company and breakfast/lunch spot’s products, such as jams, cake mixes, and lemon curd. While I can’t vouch for the catering, the products Spoon sent to CHOW were really good. The strawberry jam tasted fresh and not overly sweet; the yellow cake mix produced a flavorful and moist loaf; and the tomatillo salsa was tangy and reminiscent of homemade. A lot of Spoon’s stuff is packed in Mason-type jars or simple metal canisters with handwritten labels, adding to the homespun feeling.
