Brooklyn Pizza Pops Up in the Park

Have portable wood-fired oven, will travel. Roberta's has gotten its gear together and trekked over from Brooklyn to dish out its acclaimed pizza for a few weeks at Madison Square Park in Manhattan. Its margherita pie and square slice are both excellent, BluPlateSpec reports.

Roberta's is one of more than a dozen vendors in an outdoor food bazaar at the Madison Square Market, a temporary shopping and eating attraction that just opened its second season in and around the park. Hound favorites Hill Country, Fatty Crab, Wafels & Dinges, and Stuffed Artisan Cannolis are part of the lineup, as is Eataly, the much-dissected Italian food palace across the street, so go hungry. The market is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through October 23.
