A new restaurant in Montrose, Three Drunken Goats, has locals buzzing.
The menu at this warm and airy tapas place may seem familiar to patrons of Cobras & Matadors. That’s because the chef used to work there. Happily, Goats has a cheaper wine list ($20 to $40 or so per bottle), with lots of Spanish wines and several from the Basque Country.
Early favorites are fried olives, bacon-wrapped and chorizo-stuffed dates, fall-off-the-bone-tender braised pork shank with onion confit, and grilled octopus. Small plates run $5 to $15.
