The Hog Island Oyster Company is now vending at the Berkeley Thursday Farmers’ Market, selling oysters, clams, and mussels. Unshucked oysters are $10 to $15 a dozen, shucked ones are $2 apiece. The oysters available change with the seasons. Last week, Morton the Mousse had Sweetwater and Kumamoto oysters. “I’m no oyster expert, but I thought these were delicious. Very fresh, a nicely subtle brine, no off-flavors.”
