My dog has never been happier than when he was snarfing down foie gras–laced doggie biscuits made lovingly at Yountville’s Bouchon Bakery. He’s a simple animal; I am not. Let’s break it down:

They cost $7 for a bag of four or $1 each.

I have ethical issues with foie gras, which is set to be outlawed in California in 2012.

Only snooty 21st-century overcompensating dog owners would consider it worthwhile.

I got some ridiculously cute photos.

Muggs was delighted.

Worth it.
