Annarosa’s Bakery, previously called out in the Digest for making fantastic baked goods in Newburyport, has moved to a new place in Salisbury. “This is terrible news,” quailed baldbert.
Not so, as it turns out. The new location is bigger, allowing for a larger oven and increased production. In other words, you might actually get a baguette before they all sell out for the day. There’s also a spacious parking lot and expanded hours that now include Sundays, and the bread is as reliably great as always. “I am a real crustophile,” says Kunegunde, who was seduced by a loaf of sourdough. “The Annarosa’s crust was outstanding, thick, tasty, slightly scorched in places—the best bread crust I’ve had in years.”
