Yvonne’s aces the curry goat test. MVNYC, who measures all Jamaican eateries by this dish, finds the version from this uptown truck simply outstanding: flavorful meat, falling off the bone, in rich gravy with a chile kick and deep flavors. Side dishes, also well above average, include perfectly done collard greens and steamed cabbage, both great with the spicy stuff. MVNYC figures oxtail, jerk pork, and other offerings will merit a return visit, but adds, “I would highly recommend on the curried goat alone.”
