I found my ultimate mustard at Seakor Polish Deli after the kind but upselling owner shamed me for not having any to go with my arm full of sausages (most of which I had also been shamed into buying. To his credit, he was right on all counts). Cracovia Hot Mustard has the familiar bright yellow glow of French’s, but the similarities end there. It’s flecked with hot red peppers for heat, but also does the horseradish effect on your nose. The spicy, vinegary spread complements fatty meats like sausages and cuts through a sandwich like a champ.
