Sorry fellow Grinder-ites—we won’t be the first food-related blog to be made into a Hollywood film. That distinction goes to the Julie/Julia Project, wherein, as we all know, Julie Powell, a bored government worker in New York City, devotes a year to cooking her way through Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking.

Nora Ephron will direct Julie & Julia (a good fit; she already has experience making fiction out of food writing), according to Variety, and Amy Adams will play Julie.

And the doyenne of dining herself? Julia Child will be played by the equally-revered-in-her-field Meryl Streep. It’s not the first time Child has been portrayed on-screen—can Streep create as indelible an impression as this actor?
