It’s officially fall, and that means it’s time to check out the best Trader Joe’s pumpkin products you can buy right now.

Pumpkin and pumpkin spice are integral parts of fall and seriously big business, with everyone offering their takes on the warm autumnal flavors and iconic orange ingredient, from ALDI’s pumpkin spice cookies and pumpkin pizza to Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte lifeblood.

We love a good pumpkin spice product—and will try any of them once, if only for the experience (OK, maybe not pumpkin spice Poo-Pourri…)—but TJ’s really hits it out of the park with their fall goodies.

Naturally, they carry your basic canned pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and actual gourds for decorating, but what you really want are their inventive treats that you can’t find elsewhere.

This almost-complete list of the best pumpkin items to buy at Trader Joe’s includes plenty of old fall favorites we’re glad to see again, and some brand-new pumpkin players too. Let’s dive in!

1. Pumpkin Spice Pretzel Slims

One of the hot new pumpkin products just discussed in episode 29 of the “Inside Trader Joe’s” podcast, these crunchy little numbers are enrobed in creamy white chocolate speckled with pumpkin spice pumpkin seeds. Basically, it’s a fall version of Peppermint Pretzel Slims and you know you’re gonna eat the entire bag in one sitting.

2. Pumpkin Spice Batons

Another new sweet treat, these crisp wafer cookies are rolled around a pumpkin spice filling. They pair perfectly with our old pal Pumpkin Spice Rooibos for all those who love to (not) spill the tea, but would partner just as well with any morning brew of choice—or a cold glass of milk for a grown-up after-school snack. Or go all-out and crush them over ice cream.

3. Pumpkin Brioche

For a more substantial bite that’s still sweet yet totally acceptable for breakfast (or at least weekend brunch), this new brioche loaf with warm pumpkin spice is perfect. Slather it with nut butter, pumpkin butter, or pumpkin cream cheese, but know that its true calling is transforming into the fall French toast of your dreams. (There’s also an Organic Pumpkin Bread with cinnamon bits and various seeds if you feel like brioche is a bit too decadent.)

4. Spicy Pumpkin Curry Simmer Sauce

The Trader Joe’s product team has not forgotten those with a savory tooth. Their new Spicy Pumpkin Simmer Sauce is rich and luscious thanks to coconut cream and pumpkin puree, and packed with lemongrass, garlic, ginger, cumin, cinnamon, and other aromatic spices. Dump it in your slow cooker with chicken thighs for the easiest autumn dinner you could devise. Stir some green beans in at the end (frozen is fine) and serve over rice.

5. Turkey & Pumpkin Mole Burrito

Prefer something ready-made? These Turkey & Pumpkin Mole Burritos are jam-packed with delicious things swimming in a pumpkin seed mole sauce. Along with the titular turkey, there’s cilantro rice, black beans, roasted sweet potatoes, and Monterey Jack cheese all wrapped up together.

6. Mini Spicy Pumpkin Samosas

For appetizer fiends, these Mini Pumpkin Samosas are spiced with garam masala, cumin, coriander, chili powder, and fennel, and the pumpkin chunks are joined by paneer cheese inside the flaky pastry shell.

7. Pumpkin Empanadas

Another take on a turnover, empanadas are easier to make a full meal of—except these are sweetly spiced with cinnamon, brown sugar, cloves, allspice, and ginger. That doesn’t mean you couldn’t take them savory with the right accompaniments; pumpkin spice works for dinner too. But they’d serve just as well for a morning snack or even dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle of dulce de leche.

8. Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie

For those who like a liquid breakfast, this new Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie should keep you going for a while, whether you’re powering up for a pumpkin patch excursion or just another day of working from home.

9. Pumpkin Blondie Brownies

Bar cookie lovers should check the bakery section for these Pumpkin Blondie Brownies with white chocolate chips and pecans. A full fall sugar rush, but hardly the only one still in store…

10. Pumpkin Rolls

Refrigerated cinnamon rolls are just so easy. And with a few tweaks, they can even taste homemade. These pumpkin rolls come with a pumpkin spice icing, but there’s no reason you couldn’t add a little cream cheese frosting in between the baked good and the intended topping. Or do as TJ’s suggests and bake them in a cast iron skillet with crushed candied pecans sprinkled over top.

11. Pumpkin Caramel Kringle

One of the few TJ’s items without TJ’s branding is this Pumpkin Caramel Danish Kringle from O&H Bakery in Wisconsin. Inside the charmingly unassuming package, you’ll find a large, buttery pastry ring filled with spiced pumpkin and frosted with a caramel glaze and candied pecans. Don’t pass this one up. In fact, buy several, because they freeze well (if you can find room in there among the rest of your Trader Joe’s haul).

12. Pumpkin O’s

For a more everyday breakfast option, Trader Joe’s Toasted Pumpkin O’s are the perfect cereal to kick off those cool fall mornings—but even without the milk, they make a great, reasonably healthy snack for the kids’ lunch (with 9 grams of sugar per serving). Or use them to make a marshmallow-bound cereal treat for an autumnal twist on the Rice Krispie classic.

13. Pecan Pumpkin Instant Oatmeal

If morning oatmeal is more your speed, this Pecan Pumpkin Instant Oatmeal is ready in a flash and tastes like fall. As Cerealously puts it, “Every single spoonful immersed me in a warm hug of Unadulterated Autumn Energy.” What better way to start the day?

14. Pumpkin Toaster Pastries

Then again, what kid-at-heart could deny the pleasures of a toaster pastry? These are dressed up for fall with a pumpkin filling, but they’re pretty much what you’d expect (which is a good thing when nostalgia calls). But if you use store-bought pie crust, you can easily make your own with pumpkin spiced puree and a quick glaze for fresher flavor.

15. This Pumpkin Walks into a Bar

You’ll find various fruity flavors of this breakfast bar on shelves throughout the year, but the pumpkin version pops up in fall for those who want it in everything. Toss some in your bag for something to munch on during a leaf peeping drive or early fall hike.

16. Pumpkin Waffles

One of the simplest of Trader Joe’s pumpkin offerings, these aren’t heavy on the pumpkin spice or the pumpkin flavor, yet they do taste subtly of fall—and they crisp up in no time right from the freezer. The real power move is to spread on some pumpkin cream cheese and then finish with a little maple syrup and some chopped spiced pecans (naturally, you can pick those up at TJ’s too).

17. Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread

That aforementioned Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread is whipped up with pumpkin, vanilla, brown sugar, and cinnamon, and is good on any breakfast bread you like, including Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bagels (gluten free or regular). But try it as a dessert dip for apples too.

18. Pumpkin Butter

Don’t do dairy? Pumpkin butter is the fall spread everybody can (and will) enjoy. Honey and warm pumpkin pie spices are balanced by lemon juice. You can use this in all the ways you’d expect (on bread, waffles, pancakes, etc.) but you can also add it to your cheese and crackers, use it as a meat glaze, or thin it out with milk or heavy cream for a super fast soup.

19. Pumpkin Spice Coffee

The iconic pumpkin spice latte is hardly the only fall java option, as TJ’s proves. Take your pick of ground pumpkin spice coffee, pumpkin spice coffee pods, or even La Colombe canned pumpkin spice draft latte. (Of course, there’s also the Pumpkin Spice Rooibos mentioned earlier for tea fans.)

You need something to dunk in your coffee or tea, right? And the new Pumpkin Spice Batons might be a bit too delicate, but biscotti should hold up to a double dip. Try it in a spiced pumpkin variation for fall.

21. Organic Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark

Opinions are divided on this snack, with What’s Good at Trader Joe’s calling it “legitimately good” and @traderjoesfoodreviews likening it to the cinnamon brooms TJ’s has around the holidays (but still deeming it “not bad”). Now you have to buy it to see where you land on the squares of pumpkin spice granola covered in dark chocolate and pumpkin seeds.

22. Pumpkin Spice Pumpkin Seeds

Speaking of seeds, some pumpkin spice snacks are a stretch, but these make perfect sense, and also make a great garnish for everything from pumpkin soup to pumpkin desserts. Or, you could incorporate them into some homemade granola with maple syrup, toasted pecans, and dried cranberries.

23. Pumpkin Ice Cream

True ice cream lovers don’t lay off the frozen stuff when summer’s over. But even skeptics can be tempted by seasonal flavors, like this warmly spiced, pumpkin pie-inspired ice cream that shows up in the TJ’s freezer case every fall.

24. Pumpkin Baking Mixes

For those who (sort of) want to DIY but also can’t resist shortcuts, Trader Joe’s has plenty of pumpkin baking mixes, including gluten-free options for pancakes, bread, and cookies.

25. Pumpkin Spice Cream Liqueur

If you’re lucky enough to live in a state with more relaxed liquor laws, you can score this creamy pumpkin spice liqueur at Trader Joe’s. (Failing that, you can always make your own.) The rest of us aren’t totally out of luck at TJ’s, though…

26. Pumpkin Beer

Among the seasonal brews on Trader Joe’s shelves, you’re apt to find a few pumpkin beer options, including this Howling Gourds Pumpkin Ale brewed with the usual pie spices. Opinions are mixed, but there’s only one way to find out how you feel.

27. Pumpkin Cider

If you’re more into cider, there’s a pumpkin spice version of that for you too!

28. Pumpkin Pie Spice Ginger Brew

And this non-alcoholic Pumpkin Spice Ginger Brew is for everyone who appreciates fizzy, spicy ginger beer. It’s great mixed with whiskey or bourbon if you do want a buzz.

29. Pumpkin Ginger Hold the Cone

While ginger tends to be a supporting player in pumpkin spice, it gets a little extra love in this sweet dessert. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Ginger Hold the Cone mini frozen treats pack a few bites of spiced pumpkin ice cream into a ginger cone that tastes a bit like gingerbread, with a creamy white candy coating that brings some more sweetness to the mix.

30. Pumpkin Joe Joes

Nothing can top Trader Joe’s peppermint-infused holiday version of Joe-Joe’s but these pumpkin flavored ones are a fun fall twist to tide us over until those come back again.

31. Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies

TJ’s Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies are a lighter bite: pumpkin shaped shortbread covered in either tangy yogurt coating (the white ones) or a pumpkin spice frosting (the orange ones in the box).

32. Pumpkin Cheesecake

Sure, pumpkin pie is nice, but the extra rich texture and pleasant tang of pumpkin cheesecake is better—especially if you top it with fudge sauce and candied pecans.

33. TJ’s Pumpkin Pie

If you can’t quit the classic, keep an eye out for this one (and stash an extra in the freezer for Thanksgiving), but don’t be afraid to get creative with how you serve it.

34. Fall Zucchette Pasta

Clearly, Trader Joe’s plethora of pumpkin products does skew sweet, but there are several more savory offerings worth picking up too. This adorable pumpkin-shaped pasta is a bit of a cheat since it doesn’t contain pumpkin—but it does have butternut squash, which is a very close Cucurbit cousin (and pumpkin is technically a type of squash).

35. Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce

This pasta sauce does contain actual pumpkin (in puree form), along with butternut squash, tomatoes, heavy cream, and our favorite fall herbs, rosemary and sage. Use it to top the zucchette or any other pasta you have in the pantry.

36. Pumpkin Ravioli

Another way to get your pumpkin pasta fix: this ready-made ravioli with a cheese-enriched honey roasted pumpkin filling. If you’re wondering how you should serve it, try simple brown butter, toasted hazelnuts, and fresh sage; or mix it up with sausage and kale for a heartier meal.

37. Harvest Chili

Regardless of your feelings on tailgating, fall is prime chili season, and Trader Joe’s has one with pumpkin puree, black beans, and butternut squash, among other veggies. You may not feel this should really be called chili, but adjust your expectations and you’ll probably think it’s a fine vegetable stew.

38. Fall Harvest Salsa

This stuff is habit-forming. With pumpkin, apples, and butternut squash, it’s a deliciously nontraditional salsa perfect for scooping up with chips (see below) or spooning on tacos. And it’s not too sweet, thanks to tomatoes, tomatillos, onions, garlic, cumin, and jalapenos all working to balance the earthy-sweet fall flavors.

39. Pumpkin Tortilla Chips

Pick these up to go along with the above of course, but know they’re equally delicious with just about any salsa out there. Ditto most dips, including hummus and guacamole.

40. Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps

Perfect for a for a fall cheese plate (try them with brie and pumpkin butter), these crunchy snacks are also flavorful enough to eat alone, with their sweetness tempered by the tart dried cranberries.

41. Pumpkin Bisque

This rich and creamy pumpkin soup gets a savory undertone from tahini, but you’ll probably want to bring in garnishes to add some tanginess and texture (think crème fraîche and pumpkin seeds, or sour cream and sage-butter croutons). If you don’t want a super smooth soup, try sauteing some diced Granny Smith apple and onion until softened before adding the contents of the jar and heating it up. A sprinkle of crisp bacon on top is never a mistake.

42. Autumnal Harvest Soup

You can’t have too many soups come autumn! This one adds butternut squash and tomato to the pumpkin. Pair it with your next grilled cheese sandwich for a fall take on the classic pairing.

43. Turkey and Pumpkin Dog Treats

Did you think Trader Joe’s would forget your pups? Pumpkin happens to be a pretty common ingredient in dog treats, but these are particularly perfect for fall, and any true basic bitch will love them.

Another non-food seasonal item that I was really excited to try this year is the pumpkin body butter. I’ve been waiting patiently all year to get my hands 🖐🏻 on this scent since I missed out on it last season.⁣ ⁣ 💭This body butter is a lot thicker than the vanilla body butter that I tried a few years ago from TJ’s which I absolutely loved. The vanilla body butter was soooooooo incredibly smooth and had the perfect consistency of being thick but not too thick. This pumpkin butter is on the borderline of being slightly too thick for me. I was hoping for the same creamy smoothness of the vanilla body butter. Maybe they changed their formula? ⁣😕 ⁣ 💭I was hoping for more of a pumpkin pie scent but it smells more like a pumpkin spiced candle with heavy notes of spicy cinnamon and cloves. ⁣ ⁣ 🗯What’s your favorite body butter scent? ⁣ ⁣ ⭐️ 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞: 𝐁+ 🤓 ⁣ ⭐️ 𝟕 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟎⁣ ⁣ #traderjoes #traderjoesgeek #traderjoesfinds #traderjoesmusthaves #ilovetraderjoes #traderjoesmademedoit #traderjoeshaul #traderjoeslife #traderjoeslove #traderjoesmusthaves #traderjoeslist #groceryshopping #ilovegroceryshopping #groceries #traderjoesseasonal #bodybutter #pumpkinspice #pumpkinspiceeverything #pumpkinbodybutter #bodybutters #moisturizers #moisturizers #moisturize
