There’s still a little time left to snag some of summer’s best Trader Joe’s snacks and drinks—but hurry, because fall is right around the corner.
With BBQ season still hanging on and Labor Day less than a week away, we’re running (back) to the closest Trader Joe’s to stock up on all of our most beloved summer products (including some new ones we’ve already fallen in love with). Pardon our frenzy, but as the end of summer comes ever closer, we know these will be gone from shelves all too soon. Pumpkin spice products are already creeping in and will nudge them out of rotation until next year at any time—but for now, whether you’re heading to the beach for a little more fun in the sun, having an outdoor picnic while the weather holds, or hosting a Labor Day barbecue, you still have time to stock up on these seasonal Trader Joe’s snacks and drinks. They just posted a farewell to summer on their blog on August 26, but if you hurry, you can still grab most of these treats in time for one last hurrah!
Of course, you shouldn’t forget about classics like their Everything But the Bagel Sesame Seasoning, Trader Joe’s frozen staples, or any of our other favorite Trader Joe’s items either, so bring plenty of bags and hurry to TJ’s ASAP. You won’t regret it.
This brand-spanking-new Trader Joe’s item is ideal for summer snacking (and bringing to that Labor Day party that’s coming up so much sooner than you can believe). Just add your favorite veggies, chips, and crackers and nosh all day and night. It’s vegan, which means there’s no buttermilk (instead, it’s based on coconut cream!), but it still has the delicious tang of classic ranch, plus plenty of garlic and herbs. Thin it out with a little dairy-free milk to make a salad dressing, or slather it on veggie burgers as-is.
Dessert dip is never a bad idea, and dessert hummus has been around for a while, but now that it’s hit Trader Joe’s, it’s a capital-t Thing. And it’s delicious. A fantastic snack any time, it also doubles as an easy (and pretty healthy) party dessert ideal for dipping pretzels, graham crackers, and fresh or dried fruit. You will need a butter knife to spread it on softer fruit like strawberries, but no biggie. You might also need a spoon for when you inevitably decide to just take big bites of the chocolate hummus on its own.
Putting Trader Joe’s Pepita Salsa on your picnic table for an unexpected take on America’s favorite Mexican side dish (aside from guacamole, of course). Pepitas, also known as pumpkin seeds, add unexpected flavor and create an ideal thickness for this sassy salsa that obviously pairs well with tortilla chips. Everyone on the Chowhound team raves about this product, including one anonymous editor who goes through a jar a week!
Sparkling Watermelon Juice
Call us basic, but we love a good pink drink to beat the summer heat! With zero added sugar, this refreshing, Millennial-friendly sipper is cute enough for any itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie, yellow polka-dot bikini. Enjoy on its own or use it for a boozy watermelon vodka cocktail.
Peach Bellini Jam
Don’t think jam counts as a snack? Add cheese and crackers and think again. Trader Joe’s Peach Bellini Jam is a perfect distillation of summery flavor, thanks to ripe peaches blended with real Prosecco, lemon juice, and sugar. It’s surprisingly versatile, too; check out our favorite 15 Ways to Use Trader Joe’s Peach Bellini Jam.
Gone Bananas! & Gone Berry Crazy!
These dark chocolate-covered banana bites should be a permanent fixture in any freezer. Sweet, simple, and healthy(ish), they’re an ideal way to get a quick sugar fix. And one that isn’t ice cream. In fact, we may or may not take these over a pint of Halo Top. Yes, we went there. No, we’re not kidding. And the summer-edition cousin (Gone Berry Crazy!) that swaps in ripe strawberries under that dark chocolate coating, might be even better.

Organic Elote Corn Chip Dippers
If you love elote (Mexican-style street corn) just as much as we do (or Britney Spears, apparently), be sure to grab a bag of these perfectly crunchy chips on your next Trader Joe’s run. Seasoned with chipotle (which provides a kick of smokiness) and the cooling sensation of buttermilk, these are flavorful enough to binge on their own or pair with some—you guessed it—fresh guacamole.
Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches
Trader Joe’s version of a Chipwich (vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies) brings us right back to our days at sleep-away camp. They’re chock-full of chocolate chips and unsurprisingly addictive.

Patio Potato Chips
This new bag of ridged potato chips is full of surprises: They’re made up of four different chip flavors! Sea Salt & Vinegar, Delicious Dill, Homestyle Ketchup, and Smokin’ Sweet BBQ, when eaten together, will allegedly “conjure the taste of a glorious barbecued hamburger.” We can’t decide if this sounds delicious or a little off-putting, but there’s clearly only one way to find out: buy ’em! (Update: We tried them and we’re still not sure if they taste like a burger, but they are most definitely delicious! Tangy, sweet, smoky, and addictive to the max.)
Cold Brew Coconut Cream Lattes
If you’re like us and take your coffee sweet and with lots and lots of milk, be sure to grab some of these new canned coconut milk lattes. Dairy-free and vegan, they’re available in both a deceptively fall caramel spice flavor and original. Caffeine zing commence.
Honey Pale Ale Mustard
The combination of mustard and pale ale screams summer barbecue, making this a must for hot dogs and burger season (a.k.a. the rest of summer). Think of this as a more sophisticated take on classic honey mustard and one that you won’t be able to put down.
This malt beverage with lemon juice is the perfect drink to toss in the cooler on the weekend. It’s not too sweet, not too tart, and boasts a perfect level of fizziness. But we wonder, would Beyoncé, the lemonade queen herself, approve of the concoction?

Ube Ice Cream
Ube, a bright purple yam from the Philippines, serves as the base of many desserts. And now it’s the star of the Trader Joe’s ice cream aisle! The store describes it as “sweet and nutty, with hints of coconut […] some liken it to a cross between vanilla and pistachio.” Looks like mint chocolate chip is taking a backseat. Sorry, not sorry.
