Persian cooking is hard to come by in New York, so when it surfaces on a broadly Turkish and Mediterranean menu like Papa Kebab‘s in Chelsea, that’s news. The yogurt-marinated joojeh chicken kebab is amazingly good, nycguy20011 reports on Chowhound. It comes in platters, wraps, or the Sloppy Joojeh (pictured), a well-stuffed pita sandwich with hummus, eggplant, tomato, and sumac-sprinkled onion. Tasty, juicy lamb kebabs also deserve a try.
