Pearl Oyster Bar, revisiting what chef-owner Rebecca Charles calls her “greatest hits,” has brought back a showstopping dish from the restaurant’s early days: lobster pot pie (pictured). A generous portion of luscious lobster is tucked under a sturdy golden crust with mushrooms, snap peas, and other vegetables in a sherry-accented sauce that’s just creamy enough, Dave Feldman reports on Chowhound. “It’s simply the best pot pie of any kind I’ve ever eaten,” he says.
Just a limited number of servings are available nightly, and it’s back on the menu only through Saturday, February 9. “This is one oldie that is definitely a goodie,” Dave adds. “There are always new restaurants, always hot restaurants, but I’m thankful for POB, a place that offers a small selection of dishes but executes them so well.” Next up in Pearl’s hit parade: oyster pan roast.
