What impressed New York hound Dave Feldman so much was the elegance of rustic dishes like brandade “bites.” Instead of the usual emulsified salt cod, Chef Evan Rich (pictured) slathers trout and swordfish on house-baked fennel levain.
The food is definitely both interesting and refined, agrees wanderlust21, who gives top honors to the pastas, especially a geoduck version with a full-flavored clam sauce. And DezzerSF notes that Rich Table’s cocktail program is also stellar. All four cocktails DezzerSF sampled were “seasonal, complex, and very balanced.” The menu changes nightly, and service is down-to-earth. That’s just fine with Dave Feldman, who asks, “What has a tablecloth ever done for me?”
