With so many vineyards in California, it’s no surprise that some have found other outlets for their grapes besides the fermentation tanks. When dining at Chez Panisse with a group of friends who don’t drink, Chowhound debbie421 was pleased to discover an excellent local grape juice, sans alcohol.

Chez Panisse carries juices from Navarro, an Anderson Valley vineyard that produces Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir. Navarro juices are rarely available in stores (one exception is Mill Valley Market in Marin County, though you should call first to make sure it’s in stock). You’ll need to plan a trip to the vineyard in Mendocino County (hyperbowler calls it a great excuse for a road trip), or purchase directly off the Navarro website.
