Beverly Hills’ Restaurant Row is best known for upscale establishments like The Bazaar and Fogo de Chão. Earlier this fall, a new kid appeared on the block—The Phoenix—an uncharacteristically chill place for this high-gloss, high-cash neighborhood (“no attitude, no bottle service, no big DJs,” the website boasts). LA Chowhound Thor123 loves how inviting this bar and lounge feels, with its low-priced drinks and single menu of steak and frites (just $14.95, according to the restaurant’s website). Pool, shuffleboard, air hockey, and lots of TV screens all conspire to make you want to stay long after the last frite’s been scarfed. “There is nothing like it,” Thor123 says.
