For a great dining experience in Anaheim, look no further than The Ranch Restaurant, Chowhounds say. The kitchen pays homage to regional American cuisine, and according to the website, one of the sources for their local ingredients is the restaurant’s own ranch in the nearby Santa Ana Mountains.
The large dining room is rustic but upscale, josephnl says, and though The Ranch Saloon—a country music and dancing spot—is connected to the restaurant, the eating space is free of any cowboy vibe. What you will find, however, is excellent food. josephnl enjoyed freshly baked rolls, beet and chopped salads, a beautifully marbled prime rib, and delicious blueberry crumble. OCSteve was equally impressed with the offerings, citing the perfectly prepared rib-eye and the delicious five-onion soup made with Guinness and Gruyère. The wine list, assembled by renowned sommelier Michael Jordan, is also wonderful, josephnl says.
