Since it opened in San Francisco’s Ferry Building, Mijita—the first taqueria by James Beard Award–winning chef Traci Des Jardins, who also owns Jardinière—has been controversial on Chowhound. Is it worth the high prices that are on par with its Ferry Building neighbors? Yes, pamf says. Mijita’s prices are far higher than those at a neighborhood taqueria, but quality ingredients and careful preparation do add up to something special. Mijita’s albondigas, a tomato broth loaded with beef and pork meatballs, is especially good, srr says. And Mijita regular Dustin_E doesn’t hesitate to recommend the chilaquiles, nachos, and fish tacos. At least for these Chowhounds, Mijita is a no-brainer.
