Each month Chowhounds choose a cookbook or two, then invite everyone to cook and report on their experiences. Check out the Cookbook of the Month archive for all the details and links to past discussions.

This month’s picks are The Union Square Café Cookbook of 1994 and its sequel, Second Helpings from Union Square Café of 2001, both by Michael Romano and Danny Meyer. Romano and Meyer are the partners behind Union Square Café, a classic New York City bistro. The books cover a wide range of recipes from appetizers to desserts, and they include the restaurant’s signature dishes, like spiced bar nuts and the tuna salad club sandwich.

Participating is easy: Just choose a recipe you’d like to cook from one of the books and post your results on Chowhound. Click here to get started.
