Sichuan food in Manhattan has never been better, so Cheeryvisage picked an opportune time to sample the city’s pork dumplings in chile oil. After trying all the usual suspects, she reports on Chowhound that Land of Plenty makes her favorite version (pictured). It’s juicy, flavorful, and more generously filled than the competition, and the sauce—roasted-chile oil with soy and Sichuan peppercorn with a welcome touch of sweetness—”just further enhances the deliciousness,” she says. “I’ve had this dish at Szechuan Gourmet, Café China, Lan Sheng, Wu Liang Ye, etc. Land of Plenty makes the best.”
