Chowhound got a first report on Orexi, a new Greek restaurant that opened in the old Round Table Pizza space on West Portal Avenue. Sounds like a thumbs-up for the casual dinner. Highlights of the report: The restaurant was busy but no wait. The communal table in the middle of the room helps class up the space. Lots of Greek wines (half the list). Grilled octopus appetizer was tender but needed char; lamb carpaccio was fresh but bland; flatbread and taramosalata were both wonderful. The favorite was the grilled lamb riblets—”six smallish ribs with 2-3 bites of tender, perfectly charred lamb.”
