Los Angelenos with a hankering for schnitzel, sausage, and strudel are now in luck, says a recent Chowhound discussion. BierBeisel joined the city’s diverse restaurant scene earlier this year, serving up delicious, authentic Austrian cuisine.
Ciao Bob calls BierBeisl’s Bernhard Mairinger a “talented and passionate chef” who produces consistently great meals. To try a good mix of wursts, order the sausage sampler. Other standouts include the bouillon with veal dumplings; turkey, veal, or pork schnitzel; and any fish option on the menu. BierBeisl also serves a good number of Austrian, German, and Czech beers and wines, for a little taste of Oktoberfest. If you’re not sure what drink to try, the sausage menu has beer and wine pairings.
