Market Table‘s simple, seasonal American food won over Chowhounds when it opened five years ago. Since then the place has rarely been discussed. But kathryn says its hamburger (pictured) deserves mention.
It’s eight ounces of well-seasoned ground brisket and sirloin from butcher-to-the-stars Pat LaFrieda, with a commendable crust and topped with white cheddar, house-made pickles, caramelized onions, lettuce, and heirloom tomato. “I don’t hear much around it anymore,” kathryn says of Market Table, “but the burger is excellent.”
