In the Village, surf’s up—and so is the outlook for coffee drinkers. Saturdays Surf NYC, a SoHo shop that hawks surfer gear and brews coffee from upmarket roaster La Colombe, just opened an outpost on Perry Street, loratliff reports.

This part of town is already home to Joe the Art of Coffee, Kava Cafe, Blue Bottle Coffee, and Think Coffee. Once Stumptown, the Pacific Northwest microroaster with a cultlike following, opens its first New York stand-alone café later this year on West Eighth Street, loratliff ventures to say that this will be the city’s best neighborhood for coffee.
