A cookie artisan is at work at the GreenFlea Sunday market on the Upper West Side. TomMeg1970 describes this vendor’s wares as less sweet than average (“which suits me”) and made with care.

His favorites are peanut butter, with nuts ground by the baker herself, and ginger, studded with bits of candied ginger—both “nice and crisp-chewy.” She also makes tasty sugar- and fat-free cookies with nothing artificial added, just extra nuts and dried fruit. “She’s very friendly and obviously puts a lot of care into her products,” Tom adds. “One gets the sense that she’s honed her recipes over time and is making cookies exactly the way she likes them.”
