Gyro Grill brings Rego Park hounds something they once had to travel for: first-rate Greek fast food. “VERY, very good!” Anne says. Highlights of her family’s recent takeout order included lamb kebabs with roasted vegetables, stuffed grape leaves, moussaka, hummus, and—especially—a spinach pie that was the best she’d ever had.

The namesake gyro is another standout, “much crisper and more flavorful than other gyros I have had in a long time,” says EricMM, who finds this six-month-old restaurant far better than Corfu Grill in neighboring Forest Hills. knarfwhite, who agrees with Eric on the gyro, says the lemon potatoes are also excellent, but prefers the Greek restaurants of Astoria for pork or chicken souvlaki. Still, knarfwhite says Gyro Grill’s a keeper: “The place looks nice for a fast food-type place and the prices are low. I recommend it.”
