Boston hounds have been weighing in on some of their favorite dishes from 2011—items that they tried for the first time last year. There are lots of great responses (covering a wide range of cuisines and price points), but here are a few standouts:

Eggplant banh mi at Strip T’s in Watertown: StriperGuy thinks it’s a “perfect creative twist on a classic.”

Fried bean curd with Dun Dun spicy sauce at Mary Chung Restaurant in Cambridge: CookieLee can’t get enough of the sauce, and DrMag agrees that it’s a new favorite for 2011.

B’stilla at Moroccan Hospitality Restaurant in Malden: gourmaniac loves the classic version of the meat pie with chicken, while treb recommends the seafood b’stilla (which needs to be ordered in advance).

Handmade burrata with shaved vegetable salad, pistachio vinaigrette, and anise tuile at Bondir: MC Slim JB recommends this dish at the intimate Cambridge establishment (a great place for a cozy winter meal).
