soupçon posted word that Souffles Café, a Hong Kong–style dessert café, opened recently on Powell Street in San Francisco’s Chinatown. The menu includes 10 types of soufflé (including green tea and red bean/coconut flavors, along with classic favorites like orange and vanilla). Soufflés are dine-in only and take 25 minutes to prepare according to the menu soupçon helpfully posted (see the second page here).

kairo looks forward to trying the sesame paste soufflé and wonders if this is a first—while the Richmond and the Sunset have several HK-style dessert cafés, this may be the first for Chinatown.
