Bay Area Breweries

Don’t worry, be hoppy!

No matter what season, weather or day, it seems like a nice cold glass of beer with great company can make anyone feel better!

With summer a few months away, I can’t wait to just chill and hang out at breweries. Below are some of my favorite spots! Make sure to check them out, and comment down below your go-to breweries! Cheers!

21st Amendment Brewery (San Leandro, California): I am a fan of this brewery, especially for their Hell or High Watermelon Beer! I know you can get this at your local grocery store, but it’s different when they add a slice of juicy watermelon on top of your glass! In addition, the brewery is spacious and there is more than enough seating inside and out, making it a perfect spot for a chill get together with friends.

Faction Brewing (Alameda, California): I dig this spot! Faction is located in Alameda's industrial and old navel base area, and the views are AMAZING. You can see the bay bridge and the city on a clear beautiful day. Additionally, Faction has some cool art work inside, along with the mutt van from Dumb and Dumber! And of course, their beer selection is awesome! My personal favorites are the Defcon II and Café Latte! Give it a try!

Almanac Barrel House, Brewery & Taproom (Alameda, California): Next to porters and stouts, I am a fan of sours and Almanac serves some tasty sours! The brewery is large with plenty of seating inside and out. Atmosphere is laid back and gives off a rustic vibe, perfect for a summer afternoon!

Temescal Brewing (Oakland, California): Temescal Brewing has a funky and vintage vibe, which is awesome. There is limited seating indoors, but plenty outdoors. There is definitely a little something for everyone as they offer IPAs, as well as lager, porters, stouts, and ale. Yum!

California Craft Beer (Fremont, California): Okay, not exactly a brewery brewery, but California Craft has a great rotating tap list of beers from breweries all over! In addition, they carry a large selection of specialty beers you won’t be able to find at your local grocery store. Definitely a chill local bar to check out on days you want something more low-key!
