Classic Hot Fudge Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
1 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
⅔ cup granulated sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
¼ cup Kahlua
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
Combine the cocoa powder, sugars, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
Over medium heat, add the cream, butter, and Kahlua.
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 minute, continuing to stir.
Turn off the heat and carefully stir in the vanilla extract.
Cool the sauce slightly, then serve warm or room temperature over ice cream, in a parfait, or use as a dip for berries.
