Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons mayo
  • 4 slices wheat bread
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
Directions
  1. Spread mayo on 2 bread slices and mustard on the other 2 slices.
  2. Put ham and cheese on 2 of the slices.
  3. Place the other 2 bread slices on top.
  4. In a bowl, whisk the egg with salt and black pepper and transfer the mixture to a large enough dish to fit each sandwich.
  5. Melt butter in a hot skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Dip each sandwich, one at a time, into the egg mixture.
  7. Place the sandwiches on the hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  8. Transfer to a cutting board or a dish. Sprinkle powdered sugar and drizzle some honey on top. Enjoy while hot.
