Ingredients
  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 6 cups water
Optional Ingredients
  • chopped parsley
Directions
  1. Rinse the rice under cold water for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the water to a large pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the rice to the pot.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium high and cook for 15 minutes uncovered.
  5. Drain the rice and return it to the pot.
  6. Cover and let the rice steam in the pot for 15 minutes with no heat.
  7. The rice is ready to serve.
