Sweet AdelineBakery, Berkeley
Anyone living near the Ashby BART should know about the wonderful little bakery/cafe on Adeline Street.(3350 Adeline)
This is by far the best thing to happen to our neighborhood in ages. The food is always delicious and, wonder of wonders, the staff are all friendly and welcoming. The lunchtime sandwiches are always fresh and tasty. I particularly recommend the quiche. The Lattes are spot-on too.

I've been twice, and loved it both times. First time, we had some kind of pear tartlet and a plain slice of cheesecake. Second time was a transcendent tres leches cake. Lovely.

I just had my birthday Princess cake made by them, and it was delicious! We also tried the ginger scone and brownie while we were there, both were excellent as well. Plus, they are very nice people.

Based on these posts I stopped there this am for cinnamon bun. Tres homemade taste and in a good way. Nice counterguy, good coffee right out of the server (too much in a hurry for an espresso drink.)

My husband has become a regular there when he can't make Crixa's hours. I love their little snacks, too! It's great to have them in the neighborhood.

I have to add that I purchased one of their chocolate cakes for a family dinner and my parents are still raving!

Yesterday, the best lemon meringue pie I've had in 30 years. Very good apple pie in taste though the apples could have been a bit firmer. Excellent sweet potato pie--good enough I won't have to bake again.
