My daughter is a kettle corn fanatic and her favorite is the fresh made kettle corn at the Beverly Hills Farmers Market between 9 AM and 1 PM on Sundays behind the Civic Center, parallel to Santa Monica Boulevard. You can get a batch right out of the kettle, the sugar just melted in, and still so hot that it will sometimes burn a small hole in the plastic serving bag. You can probably get similar fresh made kettle corn at other farmer's markets or like events, though I agree with my daughter that the guy who does it at the Beverly Hills FM seems to do it better than others -- not gunky sweet, a nice balance between sweet and salty, and good corn flavor.

You can get the best Kettle Korn at the South Pasadena Farmers Market. It's held every Thursday nite from 4:00pm till 8:00pm. Ma & Pa's Kettle Korn is the popper. Worth the drive.
